    1781 'F' LONDON GENERAL POST RECEIVER'S HAND STAMP OF WILLIAM FLEXNEY ON MAIL LONDON TO LUDLOW. Letter from Grays Inn, London to 'Mr Tipton, Atty, Ludlow, Shropshire' dated 9th Jan 1781 and charged '4'. On reverse fine strike circular 'F' hand stamp of the London General Post receiver William Flexney and London Bishop mark '9/JA'. William Flexney, a bookseller was also a London General Post receiver who used various hand stamps between 1769 and 1785. (Ref 129120).
