A superb accumulation of photographic and pencil essays produced by the designer Farrar Bell in preparation for the 1968 'Anniversary' issue (SG767/770). Includes original 1967 letter on 'GPO' headed paper inviting the artists to submit their designs with accompanying 'Instructions', also very fine stamp sized photographic essays (seven) for proposed 4d, 9d, 1/- and 1/9 values and a selection of fine to very fine pencil sketches on tracing paper.
