Fine unused 'Abolition of Sunday Labour' illustrated envelope by Mitchell of Lovells Court, Paternoster Row in London, black on grey wove paper printed to promote keeping the Sabbath a Holy Day. Image depicts the Devil emptying a sack of letters over the steeple of a church with the devils tail in the doorway of the General Post Office. Text on front reads 'REMEMBER THAT THOU KEEP HOLY SABBATH DAY/SUNDAY POSTBAG/SINNER OF WORK'. On reverse text reads 'ANSWER NO LETTER DELIVERED ON SUNDAY'. Very scarce, (Ref 143939).
