1853-54 DIE 1 1D PL.163 MATCHED PAIR LETTERED JC IMPERF (SG8) AND PERF (SG17). Fine used 1853 1d pl.163 (SG8) lettered JC with four close to fine margins and cancelled '131' Scottish numeral of Edinburgh. Matched with a fine to very fine used perforated example S.C.16 (SG17), natural paper wrinkle, but fine perforations and cancellation clear of Queen's profile. A very scarce and attractive matched pair. Ex Folkard. (Ref 120974).
