1852-4 DIE 1 PL.157 MATCHED PAIR 1D IMPERF (SG8) ON COVER AND 1D PERF (SG17) LETTERED EJ. Letter Exeter to Wellington, Somerset with 1d imperf pl.157 (SG8) lettered EJ with four close to good margins (crease affects) tied "285" of Exeter and on reverse good "SaintDavid'sHill/Penny Post" hand stamp in blue (DN1170) and WELLINGTON-SOM date stamp SP 1 1853 in yellow. Matched with fine used 1d perf S.C.16 (SG17) centred to left but no faults. Fine matching, ex Folkard collection. (Ref 107175).
