A good to fine mint block of nine 1855 die 2 1d pl.16 L.C.14 (Spec C6) lettered QJ QK QL RJ RK RL SJ SK and SL, slightly off centre towards the 'L' row, several shorter perforations and 'RL' with several pinholes but fine colour. Some hinge re-enforcements on reverse but generally fine large part original gum. An important block and apparently the largest known multiple from plate 16. Cat £5650 in fine condition. (Ref 130137).
