1855 SUSSEX/'SEDDLESCOMB PENNY POST' (SX1117). 1855 envelope (small spike hole) Battle to London with good 1d Die 1 Res. pl.5 S.C.14 (SG22) lettered FE, a little off centre and several slightly shorter perforations at foot tied 1844 numeral. On reverse good strike "Seddlescomb/Penny Post" hand stamp in green (SX1117) and BATTLE date stamp AP 22 1855. (Ref 69756).
