Fine mourning envelope from London to Geneva with superb 10d brown embossed (SG57), close but certainly clear to very large margins all around, fine colour, also fine Die 1 1d pl.193 S.C.16 (SG17) lettered KF. Both stamps tied good to fine strikes London Inland Office numerals and 'CALAIS' date stamp 15 DEC 1854, on reverse London date stamp 14 DEC 1854. Most attractive and rare usage. (Ref 143086).
