Fine mourning envelope, with letter, from Woodstock (Oxon) to a Land Surveyor Burton Dorset with fine die 2 1d rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered RD tied neat "910" of Woodstock. Envelope redirected via London and Bridport to Shaftesbury and then Bruton Somerset with ms at top "Not Burton Bradstock". On reverse fine variety of date stamps including "BURTON-BRADSTOCK" udc and date stamps WOODSTOCK SP 14 1858, BRIDPORT SP 15 58 and WINCANTON SP 19 1858. (Ref 111247).
