1842-1845 MANUSCRIPT CANCELLATIONS OF WINSHAM, SOMERSET, ON COVER (X 2) LOCAL USAGE. Two covers, circa 1842 (?) and 16th March 1845 from the village of Winsham to Thorncombe one with pencil manuscript cancellation the second with pen manuscript cancellation. Evidently both Winsham and Thorncombe were both too small to have a cancellation. Also 1840 and 1845 1d post paid covers from the same correspondence with manuscript '1' post paid in red. (4 items). The two penny red usages most unusual. (Ref 142230).
