1964 'TENTH INTERNATIONAL BOTANICAL CONGRESS' SUPERB ARCHIVE OF ARTWORK BY THE DESIGNERS OF THIS ISSUE MICHAEL AND SYLVIA GOAMAN. A remarkable group of artwork produced by the stamp designers Michael and Sylvia Goaman for the 1964 Botanical Congress issue (SG655-658), the Goamans were the designers of the accepted designs. This collection is contained in two very full albums and includes letters from the Post Office inviting their submissions, a superb group of pencil sketches on tracing paper many close to the issue designs but also un-adopted suggestions, also enclosed are 16 beautiful larger hand painted essays of suggested designs.
