1883 UNISSUED 5D GREEN WITH 'LINE UNDER d' OVERPRINTED 'SPECIMEN' TYPE 9 (SG193 SPEC K23t). A very fine example of the extremely rare 1883 unissued 5d green (SG193) with 'LINE UNDER d' overprinted 'SPECIMEN' type 9 (spec K23t), excellent colour and very fine original gum. Karl Louis certificate (2021) states 'Is genuine' and noting that he has only recorded six examples of this rarity overprinted specimen, these being lettered BA, CC, CD, DD, SG and SH. Fine provenance from 1947 until 1995. (Ref 129018).
