1862 'OHMS' MAIL WINCANTON, SOMERSET TO COMPTON PAUNCEFOOT, SOMERSET. A fine printed tax demand sent 'On Her Majesty's Service' from Wincanton in Somerset to 'Mr. James Thorn, Collector of Taxes. Compton Pauncefoot' with fine die 2 1d rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered BH cancelled fine strike '883' numeral of Wincanton. On reverse WINCANTON date stamp NO 14 62 and CASTLE CARY date stamp NO 15 62. Some creasing but fine usage. (Ref 128763).
