1838 FREE FRONT PETERBOROUGH TO WRENTHAM, SUFFOLK WITH BOXED 'PETER-/-BOROUGH/PENNY POST' THREE LINE HAND STAMP (NN197). Very clean free front from Whittlesey to 'Lady Gooch, Benacre Hill, Wrentham, Suffolk' dated August 8 1838 and charged '1' Penny Post. On front good strike boxed 'No.1' receiver's hand stamp in black of Whittlesey and fine to very fine strike of the three line boxed 'Peter-/-borough/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (NN197).
