Mourning envelope Brighton to 'Mrs J Campbell, Kingston Surrey' with 1d (SG8) lettered JB, four very close but clear margins, some creasing, tied blurred strike '132' numeral of Brighton. On reverse fine strike 'WATERLOO.ST' straight line receiver's hand stamp of Brighton, BRIGHTON date stamp MR 27 1848 and circular framed 'KINGSTON/MG' (morning) date stamp MR 28 1848 (28mm).
