Fine entire letter from Norwich to 'John Mitchell Esq, Woods Hotel, Furnivals Inn, London' with two Die 1 S.C.16 (SG17) centred to lower right from MISPLACED SHEET FEED. Stamps tied indistinct numerals, on reverse 'NORWICH' date stamp AU 23 1854 in green. Letter states 'we have twenty very fine Cygnets now in the Pit at the Hospital for fattening some of the Birds now weighing 20lbs....' (Ref 142794).
