1942 PRISONER OF WAR MAIL/MOTCOMBE CAMP, DORSET. Fine POW post card to Bari, Italy from an Italian POW interned at Motcombe Camp, Dorset dated 5.11.1942. On front "PASSED" red censor hand stamp and several Italian hand stamps. On reverse fine large part strike of the two line "PRISONERS OF WAR/CAMP No.47" hand stamp in violet of Motcombe Camp. Such straight line hand stamps are scarcer than the later used circular hand stamps. (Ref 111052).
