Company, East India House, London', charged '8' and on reverse good strike 'SHIP-LETTER' hand stamp in black (L1234). Interesting contents advising that the ship 'Tartar' from Madras is in the Channel requesting arrangements for the landing of 'Insane Patients', two of whom died during the passage and also assistance for an invalid.
