    1839 TRIANGULAR ENVELOPE USED LOCALLY IN LONDON WITH '2' CHARGE MARK AND 'T.P/Mount St.GS' HAND STAMP (L505). A very fine letter folded into a triangle and then mailed within London to 'W. Witham Esq, 49 Eaton Square', posted unpaid and on front fine strike hand stamp '2' in black and good to fine strike 'T.P/Mount St.GS' receivers hand stamp in black (L505). On reverse London date stamp MR 30 1839 and wax seal confirms the triangular nature of this usage. Most unusual. (Ref 134670).
