Fine envelope from London to Dresden in Saxony with manuscript 'Via Ostende' with two fine pairs of 2d blue pl.4 S.C.16 (SG19) lettered QD QE and RD RE, tied fine strike London '40' Inland Office cancellation. Stamps a little off centre otherwise a very attractive usage and on front 'AACHEN' date stamp in red and oval 'P.' hand stamp. On reverse London date stamp 4 AU 1855. (Ref 134271).
