Envelope from London to 'J B Lloyd Esq, Solicitor, Liverpool' with good to fine 1d Experimental Archer pl.97 (SG16b) lettered KG tied fine strike London '11' Inland Office numeral clear of alphabet 1 check letters. Stamp a little off centre and several pinholes to envelope but well clear of stamp. On reverse London date stamp 4 JU 1851 and 'LIVERPOOL' date stamp JU 5 1851. Fine usage of the Archer experiment printing before perforation was officially introduced in February 1854. (Ref 133208).
