1890 PENNY POSTAGE JUBILEE, 1D BLUE ENVELOPE WITH SOUTH KENSINGTON HAND STAMPS ON CARD WITH OTHER EXHBITION HAND STAMPS. Piece of card, 215 x 170, at centre Uniform Penny Postage Jubilee 1d blue envelope affixed, addressed to Stroud Green and cancelled fine strike of the larger 'PENNY POSTAGE JUBILEE/V CROWN R/1840-1890/2.JY.90/SOUTH KENSINGTON' exhibition hand stamp and on reverse fine strike of the much scarcer smaller type of same hand stamp. On card at lower left good strike of the 'G CROWN R/POST OFFICE/SOUTH KENSINGTON/2ND JULY 1790' hand stamp and at lower right fine strike of the circular 'SOUTH KENSINGTON MUSEUM/CROWN AND PETALS/2 JULY 1990' hand stamp. Unfortunately tear to card affects latter hand stamp but unusual item of memorabilia from this postal celebration. (Ref 137906).
