1823 MAIL USED IN LONDON WITH 'Two Py Post/Unpaid/New Road' HAND STAMP (L501a) TURNED AND RE-USED TO GRAY'S INN SQRE. Fine letter from Baker Street to 'Revd W Lorymer, 39 Gloscester Street, Queen's Square' with light strike 'Two Py Post/Unpaid/New Road' receivers hand stamp in red (L501a) overstruck fine strike '3' hand stamp charge mark in black and on reverse London date stamp 28 MY 1823. Letter turned and re-used later that day to 'Mr Witham Esq, Gray's Inn Sqre' with light strike 'Southamptn Ct' receivers hand stamp and charge mark '2' in black. (Ref 136846).
