Letter from London to Leith with 1d pl.75 (SG8) lettered ND, touched at lower right otherwise fine margins and tied fine strike London '18' Inland Office numeral, on reverse London date stamp JN 3 1848. Wrapper some faults but within is fine illustrated billhead 'CHAMPION'S VINEGAR, ACETIC ACID AND MUSTARD WORKS./BOUGHT OFF WILLIS AND CO./Vinegar Makers and Mustard Manufacturers,/TO HER MAJESTY'.
