1823 MAIL CHESTERFIELD TO LONDON WITH '4' 'IN ALL' HAND STAMPS. Fine letter Chesterfield to Fleet Street dated 11 May 1823, on front hand stamp '2' charge mark, struck out with 'zig zag' hand stamp with eleven bars. Also on front very fine strikes hand stamp '4' charge mark and alongside 'In All' instructional, both in black, on reverse 'EVEN/MY.14/1823' London date stamp. Letter references the Medical Society and 'The frequency of deaths from wounding the hands in dissection is one of the subjects I should wish to notice to the Society...'. Fine usage. (Ref 124456).
