1844 DORSET/"BLANDFORD" SKELETON STYLE DATE STAMP (DT48/52). A fine printed letter from the "Stamps and Taxes, London. Legacy Duty Department" to Sturminster Newton Castle dated 4th April 1844 sent "OHMS" and on front good strike CROWN/PAID date stamp 1 AP 1844. On reverse fine almost complete strike of the rare BLANDFORD/+ skeleton style date stamp AP 5 1844 in black, struck over flap (DT48/52). (Ref 110407).
