    1785 MAIL USED IN LONDON WITH 'WILLIAMS' CIRCULAR RECEIVER'S HAND STAMP (L375). Fine entire letter from St James's Square, London 'To The Committee of the Foundling Hospital' dated March 9th 1785, on reverse fine strike of the circular 'WILLIAMS' London Penny Post receiver's hand stamp in black (L375), part overstruck fair strike Westminster Office Dockwra. Benjamin Williams was a grocer in Pall Mall, also a Penny Post receiver and this hand stamp is only recorded used in 1785. (Ref 131451).
