1711 MAIL EXETER TO LIVERPOOL WITH VERY FINE STRIKE 'EXETER BISHOP MARK' APPLIED TO CROSS POST MAIL (DN510). Good entire letter, some faults to folds, from Plimouth dated July 5th 1711 to 'Mr John Brown, Mercht, in Leverpoole' and charged '7', the 'Exeter Bishop Mark' applied to mail carried on the Cross Post route via Bristol instead of London. Very rare and one of the finest strikes of this hand stamp we have seen. (Ref 140891).
