1843 TURNED LETTER/LINCS/YORKS/PRIVATELY CARRIED. 1843 letter from Mexboro to Doncaster re-directed to Barnsley and dated January 23rd 1843 without postal charge or date stamps and presumably illegally privately delivered. Turned and re-used Worsperbridge (near Barnsley) to Grimsby with postage paid in cash and BARNSLEY date stamp JA 26 1843 and GRIMSBY JA 27 1843. Unusual usage. (Ref 100694).
