1837 MAIL LAUSANNE TO SUFFOLK, RE-DIRECTED TO LONDON. Wrapper from Lausanne to 'The Duke of Hamilton, Easton Park, Wickham Market, Suffolk' with 'LAUSANNE' date stamp 4 OCT 1837 and then re-directed to '12 Portman Square, London' with charge of '1/9'. On front light strike 'Woodbridge/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (SK404) also good strike of the very scarce 'RETURNED FROM/WOODBRIDGE' instructional hand stamp in black (SK408). On reverse 'LONDON' Foreign Office date stamp 10 OCT 1837. (Ref 136196).
