Fine letter with printed contents from 'THE BLACKBURN, CHORLEY, AND NORTH UNION JUNCTION RAILWAY' dated 16th August 1845 to 'Messrs Alcock and Dixon, Burnley' with fine 1d pl.53 (SG8) lettered CH, four good margins and tied '498' numeral of Manchester. On reverse good to fine strike of the scarce 'BURNLEY/2' skeleton style date stamp in blue AU 15 1845 (LA233). (Ref 141921).
