Fine envelope sent airmail via Graf Zeppelin from London to Lima, Peru with KGV 1d (SG419), 2d (SG421) and 9d (SG427) with 'LONDON/AIRMAIL' date stamps 19 MCH 32. On front two very fine Zeppelin cachets, the first a circular cachet in red 'DEUTSCHE LUFTPOST/BERLIN-FRIEDRICHSHAFEN/Anschlussflug/zur/1.Sudamerikafahrt 1932/des Luftschiffs/Graf Zeppelin' with picture of an aeroplane, the second cachet in purple 'LUFTSCHIFF GRAF ZEPPELIN/1. SUDAMERIKAFAHRT 1932' with illustration of the globe. On reverse 'BERLIN' date stamp 19.3.32 and 'LIMA' date stamp 4.4.1932. Very scarce and attractive usage. (Ref 143486).
