Fine envelope from Douglas, Isle of Man to Liverpool with stamp placed upside down at lower left (very contrary to regulations!) from die 2 pl.47 in a nice pale red transitional shade (two short perfs) tied fine strike of the "407" numeral of Douglas and backstamped DOUGLAS-ISLE-OF-MAN JU 8 1857.
