Large envelope, 275 x 54mm, sent air mail London to Calcutta with some creasing, stamps affected, with good used vertical pair KGVI £1 brown (SG512) with neat 'LONDON' date stamp 13 MCH 53. On reverse 'CALCUTTA' date stamp 14 JUN 53. A very rare commercial usage paying the 1s3d ½oz rate x 32, this £1 stamp one of the rarest 'modern' stamps to find commercially used. (Ref 141252).
