1836 MAIL READING TO CALCOT, BERKS AND THEN TURNED AND RE-USED TO BASINGSTOKE WITH MANUSCRIPT 'X post'. Letter dated Feb 20 1836 from Reading to 'Col. Blagrave, Calcot, Berks' charged '1' and then turned and addressed to 'G Lamb Esq, Solicitor, Basingstoke', charged '8' and on front manuscript 'X post' denoting not via London to reduce postal charge. On reverse light strike 'Too Late' hand stamp of Reading (BR348). (Ref 140963).
