1856 MAIL GLASGOW TO NEILSTON WITH 'PORTLAND/STREET' SCOTS LOCAL CANCELLATION TYPE II IN BLACK. Wrapper from Glasgow to 'J W McKenzie, Inspector of Poor, Neilston' with die 2 1d L.C.14 (Spec C6) lettered LB, filing fold affects but tied fine to very fine strike 'PORTLAND/STREET' Scots local cancellation type II in black and on reverse 'GLASGOW' date stamp MAR 28 1856. A scarcer cancellation than Alcock suggests. (Ref 136616).
