Envelope sent free mail from Leeds to Regent Street, London dated November ninth 1838, on front fine strike 'Leeds/Penny Post' handstamp in black (YK1800) and two good to fine strikes London 'To Pay/1d only' handstamp in red (L816). Letter charged '1' to pay re London Penny Post, which was still chargeable on a Free Frank. Good usage. (Ref 142328).
