1791 FREE MAIL LONDON TO GAINSBOROUGH, LINCS WITH 'FREE/DATE/P' HAND STAMP (L776a). Fine entire from Park Lane dated May 9th 1791 sent free mail 'To Mr. Richd. Bafsett, Glentworth, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire', on front fine strike of the circular hand stamp 'FREE/MA 9 91/P' in red (L776a), 'P' referring to John Palmer. This hand stamp only recorded in use March to September 1791. Fine usage. (Ref 128268).
