Fine envelope with original contents Dorchester to 'Mr John Galpin, Marnhull Shaston, nr Blandford Dorset' with fine die 2 1d rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered PB tied fine strike DORCHESTER/256 duplex SP 12 59. Presumably put into incorrect bag, at left manuscript 'Missent to' and alongside light strike BERE-REGIS date stamp SP 13 1859. (Ref 121549).
