1841 DORSET/'SHAFTESBURY PENNY POST' (DT458). Fine letter Marnhull to 'Wills and Burridge Solicrs Shaftesbury' dated 27th September 1841 with 1d (SG8) lettered KA, touched in two places but tied very fine strike Shaftesbury Maltese Cross. On front fair strike boxed 'Shaftesbury/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (DT458) and fine strike unframed 'No.6' receiver's hand stamp of Marnhull. (Ref 119600).
