    1840 DORSET/"BLANDFORD PENNY POST" HAND STAMP (DT56). Letter Durweston to Shaftesbury dated 14th July 1840, postage paid "1" and on front good strike framed "No.3" receiver's hand stamp of Durweston. On reverse fine strike "BLANDFORD/15 JY 1840/PY POST" hand stamp in red (DT56), this hand stamp much scarcer in red than black. (Ref 113035).
