1841 DORSET/"TOO LATE" HAND STAMP (DT533). 1841 letter Henstridge to Bruton Somerset dated Nov 21 1841 with 1d (SG8) lettered DA, filing fold affects but fine four margins and cancelled very fine Maltese cross of Sherborne. On front fine SHERBORNE date stamp NO 21 1841 and very fine to superb strike of the small type and distinctive "TOO LATE" hand stamp of Sherborne (DT533) (17 x 3mm). Rare hand stamp with only five examples recorded so far. (Ref 110918).
