1847 MAIL HONITON TO LONDON WITH 'WHIMPLE/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP IN RED (DN1530). Envelope, slight soiling, Honiton in Devon to 'J. Henderson Esqre., 31 Bloomsbury Square, London' with 1d (SG8) horizontal pair lettered BG BH, BG touched at left otherwise fine margins and tied good strikes '376' numerals of Honiton. Alongside fine large part strike 'Whimple/Penny Post' hand stamp in red (DN1530). On reverse 'HONITON' date stamp JY 30 1847. (Ref 129917).
