    1842 MAIL PLYMOUTH TO LONDON WITH LONDON 'S' CODE DOUBLE RING DATE STAMP USED ON A SUNDAY (L29a). Wrapper, side flaps missing, from Plymouth to 'Francis Orme Esq., 6 Fitzroy Square, London' with 1d (SG8) x 2 lettered DI and EC tied good strikes normal Maltese cross of Plymouth. On reverse PLYMOUTH date stamp NO 12 1842 and superb strike (over flap) of the very rare London date stamp with code 'S' denoting Sunday usage (L29a) dated 13 NO 1842. Very rare, only recorded in use 1842-1843, first example we have handled, ex Martin Willcocks. (Ref 128484).
