Within, slightly soiled, is fine printed details 'County Gaol Carlisle' wtih instructions for 'THE FRIENDS OF PRISONERS ARE REQUESTED TO NOTICE THE FOLLOWING RULES RESPECTING LETTERS AND VISITS....'.
