1857 MAIL USED IN LONDON WITH 'LONDON E.C/81' DUPLEX IN BLUE (SPEC C1vb cat. £850). Envelope used locally in London addressed 'To the Secy of the Great Northern Ry, Kings Cross' with die 2 1d rose 'SAVOY STREET' printing on cream tinted to white paper, (Spec C9A(2), perforations trimmed at top and centred to left but tied fine strike 'LONDON E.C/81' duplex in blue JU 18 57, code '12' (spec C1vb). Very scarce coloured cancellation. (Ref 131176).
