1875 KEBLE COLLEGE, OXFORD, PROOF 1¼d ENVELOPE WITH EMBOSSING OF COLLEGE ARMS IN COLOURLESS RELIEF AT UPPER RIGHT AND 'BLIND IMPRESSION' ON REVERSE, MENTIONED BY LISTER PAGE 30. A very rare proof 1875 Keble College, Oxford 1¼d envelope, 3¾" x 4¾", subsequently printed with image of Keble arms at upper right in vermilion but this proof with Keble arms at upper right in colourless relief, several tone spots affect, with a 'blind impression' of the College arms on the back of the envelope corresponding to the embossed impression on the front. Envelope is on cream-tinted paper and mentioned by Lister on page 30, First example we have ever seen. (Ref 144355).
