Description
1855 SMALL PIECE DIE 2 1D (SPEC C6) 'EXETER' BOXED CANCELLATION. Small piece, 38 x 35 mm with Die 2 1d L.C.14 (Spec C6), centred low and vertical filing fold affects but tied by very fine complete strike boxed 'EXETER' handstamp in black. A very rare cancellation with only seven covers and a few pieces recorded between 13th August and 9th September 1855. (Ref 143000).
