Fine 1d pink envelope used locally in Exeter addressed to 'Harry James Esq, the Close, Exeter' the 1d pink cancelled good to fine strike 'EXETER' Wessex style date stamp AU 6 1842. Re-directed to Budleigh Salterton, charged '1' and at upper left a second very fine almost complete strike 'EXETER' Wessex style date stamp next day AU 7 1842. Fine and rare usage. (Ref 142872).
