1837 FREE FRONT BIRMINGHAM TO DUBLIN WITH 'ELMDON P.P' HAND STAMP (BM276). Free front Birmingham to Dublin dated December 23 1837 and charged '1' in respect of Penny Post, signed 'Lorton' (Viscount) at lower left. On front fine to very fine strike boxed 'ELMDON P.P' hand stamp in black (BM276), apparently the earliest usage. (Ref 125807).
